i have a ftp server dowmloaded and ftp neighborhood, but have no idea how ftp works. it looks like you need addresses before you can access, is their anyway to just surf ftp?
please help a dumbbutt.

There is no real way to surf FTP Server to Server wise, but there is usually a way to surf inside the same server's public directory structure.

FTP is basically a public Hard Drive out on the internet. If setup correctly, you can view certain files that are set to be viewed by the owner of the computer. I use FTP on my own system to get files from my personal PC to my work PC almost every day.
