Unhappy

Our school has now started assigning 10.x.x.x IP addresses to each student through the DHCP server. I can ftp into some people, but I cannot to one particular site...the one I am a webmaster for. I can veiw it with http: I'm in PASV mode, but I just cannot connect appropriately, and it bugs the hell out of me to have to go visit a friend off campus to download all the pages and send them to me in an email. Anything I could do. I was thinking I might be able to proxy or something, but I don't exactly know what I'm doing in this department. Any help would be appreciated. If there is any information you need let me know.

I assume the site you're trying to FTP into is *outside* your network (ie: on the Internet)

1. Were you able to FTP to your site before they changed the IP addressing scheme?

2. Have you tried to FTP from different computers on your internal network?

3. Have you tried FTP in normal mode?

4. When you say that you can FTP into other sites, are you referring to other sites on the Internet?

5. Are you getting any specific error messages from your FTP program?

If your network has a proxy, you'll need to know its address and the port. Ask your network administrator.
