Gateway Timeout

Hi

My friend receives a "Gateway Timeout" message. What is that ? How do we solve this problem ? Thanks

He also receives this:

The following error occurred:
[code=DNS_TIMEOUT] A DNS lookup error occurred because the request timed out during the lookup.

He uses Internet Explorer. Does this problem occur because the name server of him couldn't reach the server of the website (in his case, it's Yahoo) ? Thanks
