I've been having a peculiar problem with IE lately. I am using IE 6. When I type a URL into the address bar and hit Enter, there is a noticable delay before the page will click and begin to load. Also, while it is delayed (1-10seconds) my mouse pointer disappears. If I click the mouse my pointer shows up on the start button. Also, if the delay is a longer one and I click, it will hang IE. It will say "Not Responding" and I am forced to close IE. Other times I will get the "Not Responding" when I randomly open some other page. It seems like this occurs when multiple pages are loading at once.
It is a big nuisance to be closing IE so often, and I am trying to get the bottom of this problem. I've cleared my temp files, run Spybot, Adaware and Hijack this, deleting anything suspicious. I'm convinced somekind of hidden program is logging my urls and crashing IE. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I've done that. I regained my internet speed, it had been slow for awhile, because of the critical updates. No virii found. I still get the occasional crash though it doesn't seem as frequent. Any other thoughts? TIA
