IE 6 slow to load

Lately I have been having problems with IE6 on XP loading really slow. Once it is loaded it works fine. I suspect something else is loading at the same time, because as the explorer window pops up I see two other windows pop up at the same time (just the outline if the windows). I set my homepage to blank, deleted cookies, dumped the cache, and deleted the history.
The only application running in the background is explorer.
Any ideas???
Oh I also did a virus and spybot scan.

actually as said above I ran spybot.....however I only ran it on my profile.
I switched over to my wifes and ran it and now it zips along.
I didn't realize it could be profile specific?
