Xayd, my test read 1187kbps down and 134kbps up.
Does that sound good or what. Carl |

Not bad at all!
Especially on the upload side, you're getting your max there, or right at it. You're definitely one of the lucky ones Carl, took me 6 weeks plus to get everything working. Xayd |

Actually that's quite impressive. My numbers were 637 down / 130 Up. Still a heck of a lot faster than the ole dial up....

Xayd, dlsreports site is very informative. I'm looking into Raspppoe to see if is an advantage.
Went over to Winmag.com and run my browser through their tuneup. It has a throughput test (don't know how accurate) and it said I have 636. I haven't done any of the various tweaks to see how fast I can really go. Carl [Edited by Carlgif on 02-11-2001 at 01:29 AM] |

If you are using Enternet or Winpoet now, your download speeds should increase with Raspppoe.

Thanks glc. Today will be a time of experimentation.
The telco tech that did the install is interested also. He told me that telco is not locked into pppoe and will try new s/w to help speed and stability. Carl |
