Calling all Opera users!

Need some help, folks.

Opera 7.23, Java 1.4.2_02

Yesterday I noticed everything running real slow on the forums. Did some checking, found Opera was running the CPU up to 100%. Had to close the browser and restart it to get it back. Went to other sites, no problem, but the minute I loaded up the forums again it maxed out again. Did extensive troubleshooting, bottom line, disable Java, no problem.

Tried uninstalling Java and installing 1.4.2_03, reinstalling Opera, disabling plugins (in case the damn Flash ad was doing it), played with various cache and network settings, disabling Norton and ZA, etc. etc. IE5 with the same Sun Java is fine, as is Firefox with whatever it uses.

Anyone with Opera, please see if the same thing happens to you - please post pertinent versions and settings.

I already had Doobie check it - he's running Opera 7.50 RC2 with Java with no issues.

Running 7.23 with Java 1.4.2

If I leave Opera open for more than a day, browsing comes to a near stand-still. I have to close it and sometimes reboot.

I'm using Opera 7.23, Java 1.4 and don't seem to have any problems so far.

Java No java runtime environment installed

It seems to be running fine but I use Mozilla normally.

Opera can be strangely slow sometimes, I find a reboot on W-98 fixes the problem..And I am just running a 450 AMD with a Slooooow DU of 24 bps..Running 7.23 with Java 1.4.2 Also glc. I checked this site and it loads just as fast as any other..
