Why can some messages be replied with formatted text only ? I don't like it because they are very slow to display and even the typing is sluggish at times.
Is there a way to fix this? That is, to force the message to be written in non-formatted text. Right now, in those messages, when I click Format the option for non-formatted text is grayed out so I cannot choose it. ![]() Any ideas? BTW this is happening in Outlook XP. TIA

This may work...
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;307594 IIRC, Outlook replies in the same format the message was sent. So, if you can make all messages plain text with the registry edit in this article perhaps all replies will be in plain text as well. Hope that helps, -LW |

Hmm, but that would disable the HTML in all the messages, including those I receive. I am not sure I'd like that, seems drastical. I just want to use the plain text for my replies, while still using HTML for the ones coming in.
My problem happens randomly and that is what puzzles me. Outhouse is set by default to reply the message in the format that comes in, but you can change that option by selecting Plain Text, what puzzles me is why sometimes I can't? Anyway, thank you so much for the time to look for that info and post a reply. |
