Downloading Themes With Virus?
I don't understand why, when downloading themes fromt this site: http://www.desktopland.com/Category.asp?ID=125,
I keep getting viruses. I run avg on every download, and it says its clean, then when I open it, I get various downloader. viruses. One had pup.exe in it. Why doesn't avg detect it before I open it? Its just aggravating. I delete the viruses because they have beautiful themes here and I keep downloading anyway. I just can't save them to cd for future use unless I label the cd "with viruses". Is there a way I can clean these after extracting them so I can save? Thanks for your help Shulsey |

Also, I don't know if I'm getting viruses from the actual theme downloads or if its from the pop ups. AVG just doesn't catch it unless its installing a theme.

Do you have AVG configured to scan inside compressed archives and to use heuristics?
