Here is an article about Privacy Advocates trying to change Google's policy on scanning emails.
http://www.thewgalchannel.com/techno...03150104072004 What do you think? |

personally, i don't think it would matter that much to me. I would sent all my important or "confidential" emails through my isp address anyway.
on the other hand, i can see why some people might be wary about this. but then, thats just me. ![]() mike |

Although I've really got nothing to hide, I'd rather not have my email account be more or less public. I really don't see a reason why google should keep a record of private emails.

They have no business in my life.
I will not be getting G-mail. As for alternatives; I still own a fountain pen and I can still write letters. |

I dont care, I dont have anything to hide and with the ammount of people using it its not like anyones gonna see it. The only reason I wont use it is caus I dont need it.

The only thing that bothers me is if Google "system" misinterprets a email that is sent from someone and they (Google) act upon it by contacting the authorities. Isn't that invasion of privacy?

Personally, I will be sticking with my email account from my ISP, which I am quite happy with. I see no reason why they should be scanning the emails. Especially if its to push ads.

I might just get an account and use it as one that I just use for possible SPAM signups and stuff....just so my ISP account doesnt get flooded.

I do that with a Hotmail account. I check it once a week or so and just dump all the SPAM.
