Could someone give me starting instructions for accessing Usenet with Netscape Communicator 4.75 or point me to a set of instructions. Thanks.

Edit/preferences/mail and newsgroups.
Put in your info under "newsgroup servers", check off "use username and password" if your server requires you to log in. WARNING: If you post to usenet with your standard email and personal info, you're begging for spam. I personally keep a second install of Netscape around with false contact info just to avoid this. What you can do if you like is change your mail address to something ridiculous under the "identity" section in Netscape for news posting purposes, then change it back when you're done. Xayd |

Netscape newsreader software is lousy. Go download Forte Free Agent and set it up. As Xayd said, do something to mask your e-mail address from the spambots.

I actually like Outlook Express for news. Either way, Netscape's incarnation leaves a lot to be desired.
