Unwanted sites go into favorites
I have a list of 10 site links of extremely bad taste that keep inserting themselves into my favorites list as well as creating their own "Links" folder at logon to the web. I delete them immediately but they are there again every time I logon. Is there any way of deleting them for good and/or tracking down the source site. Any help please.

you need ,spybot and adaware, these are two programs that look for spyware on your pc and eliminate it for you ....you should also have a firewall and you can get one for free at zonelabs.com....adaware is at
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ and spybot is at http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10...ml?tag=lst-0-2 both are recommended here at pcmech hope this helps Dick |

spyware
Thanks guy, i'll download those programes you suggested and see what happens. I don't suppose there is any way of identifying the site owners and taking this further as this is extremely intrusive. Thanks again.

Won't do you much good to ID them anyway, unless you live in Utah! They're just enacting a law against spyware being installed on computers. Now how are they gonna enforce that?
