Question

Getting to the point of removing Enternet300 v.1.4 and installing Raspppoe. I have one question. Does Raspppoe have the save userid and password option? Or do you have to enter them at each connect?
Reasons for wanting to change programs:
Enternet 4.8meg, Raspppoe 298kb
Enternet is a resource hog. I'll have 93% before connecting and 73% after connecting.

Yes - raspppoe uses dialup networking. Works just like it did when you were dialing up your old ISP. All raspppoe does is hook a protocol into the DUN.

You might want to read the documentation on the website.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the quick reply, glc. I read the documentation, but must have skipped right over the pertinent part.

A few things in there you need to look at before you install it.......

Cool

glc, removed Enternet300 and installed Raspppoe last night with no problems. So far no freeze ups at disconnect or while browsing. It connects a bit faster and disconncts very fast compared to Enternet. My start page even opens maximized, where as with Enternet it wouldn't no matter what settings I changed.
I printed out the complete documentation from the site you sent me because my memory is not what it used to be. Thats another story.
Thanks glc. I do appreciate your help.
