Outlook Express not showing body of email.
I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with this!
My PC was infested with the i--search nonsense last night; I've since been able to get it all cleaned up, but since being infested my Outlook Express is no longer showing any bodies of any emails! It downloads (and sends) email just fine, but I am unable to view the messages themselves. The message pane remains blank, and when I hover my cursor over it, it simply shows the little "busy" icon. (I have to view the message source {Properties/Details/Message Sourse} in order to see the message.) I haven't been able to find ANY information about this online, save for ONE other individual with the same problem (although he didn't mention being infested with any spyware; I'm really not sure if it's related). No one responded to him in that forum, however, so that really didn't help. I've searched the Microsoft site and the Outlook Express support sections, I've tried reinstalling IE and OE (with little success - it just updates), I've gone through my OE settings witha fine-tooth comb, all to no avail. ANY help/information that you can give me would be hugely appreciated. |

I've recently been trying to find the answer to this myself (fortunately for someone else). One solution I've read is to RUN
regsvr32 inetcomm.dll This has worked, but not with everyone. And you may have to run it again after a reboot. A workaround is to right click on email, then click Properties.... Details tab.... Message Source. Maximizing the window to locate and read the body text. |

Thank you! Yes, that absolutely worked! Oh, you have no idea how much I appreciate this; I had pretty much just given up & resigned myself to living with it. It's so nice to actually be able to see my messages again!
You're SO on my Christmas list this year. ![]() (Thank you again!) |
