internet
What is the future for internet?
what new technology is being develop? is there anything faster than DSL or T1, T3?

ipv6; but that is hardly new. right now only small lans use it and let the bgp's take care of outside traffic. i doubt the internet protocol will change drastically in the foreseeable future.
ad hoc networks are cool, but no one really uses them. with the advent of the cell phone, however, i think there is a killer app waiting that will utilize some cool ad hoc network using you and your friends' cell phones. but that is my dream. T1 and T3 are rather old. they are simply bunches of telephone wires multiplexed together. things like sonet rings have come since then. i don't think you will see much change in the underlying protocols of the internet. not that anyone ever realizes that TCP has changed multiple times or that DNS has been rearranged multiple times. those changes go unnoticed except to those whom it concerns. what you will most likely see is software networks (napster, kazaa, bittorrent, etc) being created. i am a bit biased, but i think these are infinitely cooler than a bunch of wires and routers.
