IE scrolling locks up computer

A teacher has a computer that will freeze up solid if you scroll while in IE 6 (either with the mouse wheel or using the vertical scrollbar).

Any tips on how to fix the problem?

What O/S?

What are your system specs?

Have you installed the most recent update/patch for IE?
