Control Panel - Internet Options - Connections - "never dial a connection".
Drag a shortcut to your connection out to the desktop and/or quicklaunch bar, use that to connect instead of being lazy and having it dial by itself when you open IE. |

Well, let me just tell you what you got so you know what you're dealing with. I once had to pay $213 because of that dialup box. I must have accidentally clicked it or something and got logged in through it. I couldn't even access their site so I opened up Web pages and began surfing and then ended up with an incredible phone bill for having accessed this foreign ISP that I had no idea was foreign. I hit the roof when I saw my phone bill but my phone company said that there was nothing they could do and I would have to pay the bill. $213 bucks for nothing. That's another reason why I think these hackers should be shot.
Anyway ad-aware or spybot should take care of it. |
