Can't turn off PC
working on old pc. reformatted and partitioned. Installed win2000pro. All updates and service packs loaded. Works great! Problem is I can't turn it off. When shutting down, it goes to screen "it is now safe to turn off your computer" When I try, nothing happens. Have to hold down switch for 5 seconds and then it turns off. Previously had win98se and pc would shut off normally. Specs: biostar mb M6TZA, Intel chipset 440ZX, 400mhz Celeron. Any ideas?

Go to start, control panel, power managment...
I'm not on my win2k system but the answer is in there... I believe its under advanced options. Last edited by Doobie; 05-20-2004 at 02:07 PM. |
