Enable Cookies?

I'm having a problem logging into a particular forum site (not PC-media Tech forum). Everytime I type login/pass, I get kicked back to login page with this messege;

'You need cookies enabled to log in'

I started to have this problem after I delete cookes/delete files from tools/internet options. My web browser is IE6/Win xp home and I don't have this problem with any other web sites or forums.

I did the following;

1. ran adware6 to check any spywares; none detected
2. set the internet security to the lowest
3. set the prvacy setting to the lowest
4. privacy ->advanced -> override auto cookie handling
first party cookies;accept third party cookies;block
always allow session cookies;checked
5. manually clean temp internet files & leftover cookies
6. make sure time/year was set correct
7. tried with several differnt people's pc to see if I could sign in...
I was able to sign in without a problem so my logname/pass is ok

None of these changes did anything. Did I forget to do something?
How can I enable cookies? Thanks for any help.

Check in the User Control Panel for the two options in the attached pic.

Send a message via MSN to mikezel
when you're logged in, click the "user cp" button near the top of the screen

I may sound stupid, but...

I can't log in to begin with. So I do not understand what 'user cp button near the top of the screen' means.

I'll ask a simple question.
How can I enable cookies?

By the way, I don't have any problem logging into PC-media Tehc forum. I should've mention it's a different forum site, not this one.

If youre using IE, go to tools, then internet options, then the privacy tab. Make sure its not set so high that it says cookies are blocked.

Sorry i didnt really understand youre problem before, now i get it.

No problem. I edited my original question so people wouldn't get confused now, hoplefully.

Anyway, I've already played with the privacy/security tab before I came here. Nothing seemed to work. Everywhre else that I need to log/pass, including this forum, I have no problem. Just this one particular site.

So you get cookies from other sites and only this one says you need to enable them? You could look at your cookies folder and see if there is one set from their domain. Have you tried emailing the forum admin to ask if they know anything?
