I have been looking at different places to host a website with and I am checking out http://domains.yahoo.com/ "Get your own web address & home page $35/Year."

However I can't get any other info, like how much space I would get. It makes it sounds like 35 dollars is all I would pay, I wonder if that is true. I have used yahoo's free hosting in the past and if this has the same features as the free site, it wouldn't be too bad.

So if you have any info please inform me.

Cheapest Domain/hosting I've found is http://www.blacksun.ca
$10 CDN/month plus $25 setup fee, and free Domain reg.
$145 CDN= ~$90 US, you can't beat that for a whole year.

Hostmatters.com.

Their plans start at $6.95.month with $20.00 for domain registration but no setup fee. I have emailed them at all times. Late at night, on Sundays, etc., they have never responsed to my email in less than two hours. They even shoot me an email after the problem is resolved just to check.

Send a message via ICQ to fulano
Boom TerraByte

http://www.terrabyte.com you can get as low as under $34 per 6 months and register domain for $13.50 but it helps if you know what you are doing. They aren't very helpful with explanations and you have to kind of learn as you go.
Also they had hard drive faliure last month and lost all my hard work setting up my Ultimate Bullitin Board. (had to use backups on my local computer. But my site seems to always be up (except when they had crash)

Hi byte,

Pair has a basic FTP hosting plan (no CGI, SSI, etc) starting at $5.95/month. They also have a domain registration service for $19/year. Good for a basic HTML site.

I have went with Hostmatters.com. BTW, their Monthly is on 6 dollars a month. I talked to them on ICQ for about 3 days before I placed my order, which went though very quick.
That was last night, and already mosty people can type in the new address for IACT and go straight there. I would list the address, but I really don't have anything up yet.

the domain was only 20 and the monthly is only 6 so I can live with that. They have a very nice ONLINE Support Center. There server's support CGI program. They also have ICQ up and running and a live support button on there page. They have answered all my questions and were very nice.

and the nice kicker is, I have a set IP address. I really like that.
