Undo Auto Logon?

I made the mistake of checking "Automatically Sign Me In" at MSN's home page and can't find how to undo the auto logon. I searched Help and there is lots of info on how to make it Automatic, even security warning(s) if it is on, but can't find anything on removing it. Any ideas?

Hi ghost2003,

It's MSN's "My MSN" page, and the Auto Sign In signs into the Net Passport routine...which is what I don't want. I want to have to sign in / log on manually and only when / if I want.

As ghost2003 said, clearing your cookies should remove the ability to automatically logon to MSN's site. The information that site needs to recognize your computer and sign it in is stored in a cookie.

If that doesn't work, go to the MSN site, click the "Sign Out" button. Do not close your browser. Then click the "Sign In" button. Beneath the prompt for your name and password, you'll see a check box labeled "Sign me in automatically." Uncheck this box.

If you're using XP, go to Control Panel>User Accounts, click on your account then, in the left-hand pane, click on "Manage my network passwords." Click on the net passport you don't want to auto logon, click Properties, tell it "yes" when it asks about going to the passport site. Once there, uncheck the "Sign me in automatically" box.

Thanks for the tips. My box got a little goofy: The Sign In window appeared all by itself when starting IE a short while ago. The Auto part was Not checked, but I checked it, then unchecked it. Then the machine hungup and I had to reboot, but it didn't reboot. I had to cold boot it to get it to fire up, and now I can open IE normally !?!?! Weird, but I'm not complaining
