Free Website Content
Not sure if this is the appropriate place for this post but...
I'm developing a website geared towards college students and I was trying to come up with some more content for my webpage. I would like to find items for my webpage that keep people on my page (in other words, I don't want to put too many links that take people elsewhere). For instance I found a website, miniclip.com, that lets you put their flash games on your site. I'd like to find such things as IQ tests or other fun things that will make my site an enjoyable experience. If you can help me or at least point me to some forums that would better be suited for this subject, I would greatly appreciate it. thanks. JD |

From personal expeience, the things that will get people to come back are...
1) interactive, but original 2) useful, and otherwise not free anywhere else Obviously forums are a good example of #1. Look at how many people come here just for the forums . Flash games and other such fluff will be hard to draw users with, however, since there are a thousand other sites that offer more of the same thing than you do.For number two you're obviously gonna have to do some digging and thinking, but something original is always better than something rehashed from somewhere else. Maybe something like a review of major universities' student services with some type of ranking system? I can't remember seeing a ton of sites doing stuff like that recently. Anyways, you get the idea. Don't just copy some other site. Think of something that all the other sites don't do and do it on yours, then it will sell itself and grow in popularity whether you like it or not .
