You will need that information from your ISP. Keep in mind that Mozilla handles POP3 e-mail accounts only. If you are trying to access a Hotmail account, you will need to use Outlook Express.

Perhaps an example is in order. Say your ISP is foonet, and so your e-mail address is me@foo.net. Typically, your POP3 mail server address would be mail.foo.net, and that is what you would put in there for the server. It depends on your e-mail address and ISP, and you need that information to properly configure an e-mail client. Guessing won't work.
Free Hotmail does not offer POP3 e-mail access, so you can't use Mozilla's e-mail client to access it. You would need to use the Outlook Express e-mail client, which can handle Hotmail's web-based mail interface. What is the e-mail address that you are trying to access? |
