Welcome, it will be interesting to have you contribute here. Have you been able to turn your hobby into a small business? Your wife might not mind so much if you break even or make a little money in your hobby.

i have made mention about building for more than a hobby. she is very skeptical about if it will work and what the turn around time would be. i have wrote down a "business plan" and how it would hopefully work out. and i made mention about taking some tax money and putting it aside to start. its just a little hard right now so i would go all or nothing and she isnt sure if she likes that idea. we have been unemployed for over a year after getting laid off from the same place. we have 2 children the oldest is 2 and the youngest is almost 2 months old. she may have found a job just recently which would be wonderful. i have made mention to her that i could "pull off" being an "at home" dad. we have agreed that daycare sucks where we live. its expencive, irresposible people run them and if something happened to them they couldnt telll us. so i can live with paying bills, making dinner, doing laundry, mopping floors... oh yea and building computers . if you could think of a way to help convince her feel free to let me know
