Back after several years

I first became a member of this forum back in 2005 when I built a computer following PC Mechanic instructions. It is an XP computer and still works, although I now have a Windows 7 machine I use as my main computer. I did not build that one, but now I wish I had. More on that when I post my current problem.

Since last logging in as a member ages ago, I have become an Enrolled Agent and now do tax returns for individuals and businesses. I also represent people before the IRS and help them solve their tax problems.

I'm not a super knowledgeable techie like many of the members of this forum, but I am the one that many of my friends and acquaintances and former wives turn to when they have a computer problem. I used to write accounting software under the DOS operating system back in the dark ages before Windows. I did a lot with DOS batch files back then and still use some of that knowledge.

I've always found this forum to be helpful in the past, and am glad to be a member again. If I can help answer a query I see on this forum, I will.
