I wanna try Linux but I'm lost

Hi, I just bought a new PC (I want to build a beginner's workstation) and now it's time to install the OS. I wanna try Linux but I had no idea there were so many versions. I would like advices on which one I should get.

What I'm gonna use it for:
-3d modelization and animation (probably with Blender, I don't really know).
-Music composition
-A little gaming (probably only Starcraft II and League of Legends) EDIT: I don't mind forgetting about that
-Web browsing (of course) and streaming

I don't know if you have enough information, just ask if something is missing.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I don't mind if it's complicated at first, I'll learn it. I prefer to be able to customize rather than easy access on the first day.

And if I forget about the gaming part?
I just thought I should add: I don't mind if it's complicated at first, I'll learn it. I prefer to be able to customize rather than easy access on the first day.

This is a version of Ubuntu that has all the software loaded during the installation.

Have fun exploring!

openSuse is pretty good as well for a workstation but you will have to install programs individually.
Preston and acr98disc like this.

Wow! That's an impressive list of applications in there.

I did install OpenArtist and I like it and don't like it in some ways. What I like the most is all the apps coming with it, and what I don't like is maybe just because I'm not used to it. I may buy Windows 8 when it's out but one thing is sure, I will keep OpenArtist.

It does take some getting used to, especially if you only have had experience with MS products. Go through some of the sticky's in the forum.
