configuring ximian evolution with msn
i have an email account with msn and can't find anywhere what settings i need to put into evolution to make it work.
any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance |

I am not sure, but MSN is probally like Yahoo, Operamail, and some others out there in that they block PoP access unless you purchase a premium account. No free rides! I know there are some Windows programs that allow you to bypass this (web2pop comes to mind), but I am unaware of any *nix alternatives.

no msn does allow you to send/recieve through an email client because i have used it in outlook with no extra charges, although outlook required no settings to be inputed other than tell it that msn was the provider so it may only work for free through outlook because its also microsoft.

Just because MS apps (outlook, outlook express and MSN) play together, doesn't mean others will.
