Smile Linux and SATA

I would just like to hear any success or horror stories about this combo before I try it myself. Thanks!

Well, since I will be using Mandrake with a raptor, I guess that takes care of my question, LOL. Thanks much Blue!

Does anyone know anything about the other major distros and SATA? Seems to me this will be an interesting topic real soon. I am wondering (or have been at any rate) about IDE SATA mixes under linux. Lord knows there are enough Windows issues

Do you mean how does linux respond to haveing both ide hdd's and sata hdd's on the same computer?
It doesn't have any issues with it and windows doesn't either, atleast none that I know of.

AFAIK, the support for SATA is there in Kernel 2.6. So I would think any major distro based off that series of kernels should work fine.
