Help With Fedora Core

I got Fedora Core with a book today and have a bit of trouble installing it.

Everthing goes ok till it comes to partitions on the system.Remove all partions, keep all, remove linux partitions.

None of these options work,so it seems that i have to partition the hard disk myself. What i mean by not working it says something about i not having selected (/)and there is not enough space,i have 99.6GB free!!

If anyone is using Linux and did this before could they please help me out.

I think you are just failing to appoint a / (root) partion. There should be something during the partioning process that says mount or mount point. Make sure your main partion that you are going to use for linux is set to "/" without the quotes!
