Hi all,
Just wanted to let you know that Slackware 10.0 was released today. Can't wait to upgrade my 9.1 box now. Sorry, I'm just so excited about this that I had to share it.

Lol. I am excited about it too, I dont even use linux
Dl'ing all the torrents, plan on letting them go all night long but no longer seeing as how that can be bandwidth intensive, and could get me over my limit ![]() Maybe this try at Linux will work better then my last... eh... 4 tries? Well however many it was, off I go again. EDIT: And seeing as how I will be putting it on my 2ndary machine I can finally put a folding client on it without feeling like an idiot for having that computer on without having a use for it at the time. Woo hoo

I wanted to try slackware, but Gentoo was better, in some ways. (emerge)

Slackware is awsome. 100000000 times more secure then mickey$oft products.

So does slackware use a GUI? or is it very command based? Is it easy to learn?

SLackware has a command line based installer, but it has KDE and Gnome and some other Windows managers for actual use. And it's just like any other distro as fasr as I know, but I dont get the subtle differences that some may pick up on.

downloaded, and installed Slack 10 over SuSE 9.0, yesterday. only had a problem with KDE, nothing a reinstall didn't cure.
Now to set up fluxbox for a window manager.
