I installed linux mandrake 7.2 and when I moved my mouse or drag a scoll bar there are little glitches in the screen. Does anyone have any clue why it does this? Also how do I change the resolution of my monitor? I didn't have a prompt asking for this when I installed it. I'm sure I'm going to have a lot more questions coming....

Try first to use Mandrake Update to update your Xfree86 from 4.0 to 4.01. 4.0 appeared to have some problems. To change the resolution, use Drakconf (there should be an icon on your desktop).

ok now I have a question about my modem. It is a ISA hard modem. When I try to connect to the internet it says the modem is busy. Now I know it's not. So how do I fix this one?
Thanks Josh |

Try going into your Bios and turning changing this option:
Plug and Play OS - yes to Plug and Play OS - no Most of the time that will fix it. |
