Hey All,
A friend of mine decided to try slackware 10 out. Everything works great, except the video. He can get into X Windows (GNOME) with no problems, but when he exits XWindows, the video doesn't return, the monitor is just blank -- the LED on the monitor is green. I checked out his xorg.conf file and it seems to be the default configuration, which is most cases is sufficient. Monitor: Viewsonic VP171B Video Card: Matrox Parhelia PH-A128R EDIT: The system doesn't crash when it blanks out, I can still use control+alt+delete to reboot the system. I'd appreciate any advice if anyone who has a similar configuration has come across this problem. Thanks! Michael P.S. I suggested to him to double check his horizontal and vertical ranges which he'll check when he gets home.
