Xandros 2.5 impressions
I recently installed this OS as a dual boot with windows XP. I should start by saying that I have ZERO Linux experience.
After a little bit of tweaking, I was able to get this running and have to say that so far I'm pretty pleased. It may not look as polished as XP, but it seemed to me that I could surf faster with my DSL connection. ALso, I liked the multidesktop feature. In general, the OS seems faster than my XP OS-and I have tweaked that extensively. I still need how navigate around the OS, but I would strongly recommend this OS to any LINUX newbies who want a "Windows" type experience minus the headaches of dealing with firewalls, spyware, antivirus etc. |
