Smile Linspire 4.5

Hello...

I just bought a mobo bundled with it is linspire 4.5 OS....

my problem is... i don't know how to install it, i have no problem w/ windows but linspire is something new to me...

hopefully there is someone to guide me

I've never tried Linspire before, but I guess it'd be like the other user-friendly distros, boot from the CD, and follow instructions on screen, just make sure you pay attention when it asks about hard disk partitioning stuff, so you don't delete Windows partitions in case you have any.

If you have to create partitions yourself, create at least two partitions, one takes twice as much as your RAM, if you have 256MB RAM, create a 512MB partition, it's type should be "swap".

The other partition takes the rest of the space, its type should be ext3 or reiserfs, and the mount point should be /

The rest should be as easy as Windows.
