When I try running knoppix on an older computer of mine, it gets to the screen where everything is detecing what hardware and devices I have and then it looks like itr wants to put another screen on and the monitor goes blank and all the setting lights flash, which means signal out of range. What can I do about this? Thanks everybody for your help.

Try pressing (ctrl alt +) or (ctrl alt -) to change resolution.

You can also take care of that at the boot prompt when you first boot the cd. Just type:
knoppix xres=800x600 or whatever other resolution you want and hit the Enter key. |

Sorry, I gave you the wrong cheat code. It should be:
knoppix screen=800x600 Here's a list of knoppix cheat codes you can use if you have trouble booting into knoppix: http://www.knoppix.net/docs/index.php/CheatCodes |
