Question on X Terminals (newbie)
Hello everyone, I am new to linux and just installed Slackware for the first time. I was wondering if anyone could help me by explaining to me how I can make it when the user logs in all he gets is an xterminal and a web browser open with no permissions to do anything else. I know it probably sounds like a dumb question but if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated!

If your using kde, there is a lock down mode called kiosk. I'm not that familiar with it but here's a link to the most recent kde kiosk readme:
http://webcvs.kde.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb...kiosk?rev=HEAD There's also a graphical admin tool available http://extragear.kde.org/apps/kiosktool.php |
