i decided to try linux but i want to know the version thats easy to use for somebody new like me, please give me a link

First of all try Knoppix. It runs completely off the CD. Then if you like the way that works, install Mandrake. It's one of the easiest to learn. You can download them both from LinuxISO

but do have to have bittorrent to download it because when i go to click download it and i click one of the mirrors then it displays a list of files and i dont know how to download it

If you are downloading from LinuxISO, all you have to do is go to the distro you want, then click the file you want. For Knoppix it will be one ISO file and for Mandrake it will be three. Make sure to download the latest release.
