Mac OS install
I just got a powerbook G3 wallstreet version from my aunt, and I want to re-install the OS. It's full of junk and I want to start with a fresh install, and mainly I just want to see what a Mac OS install is like. The problem I'm haveing is that it doesn't have a cd-rom in it, someone replaced it or lost it before my aunt got it. Right now it just has a zip drive in it and I don't want to spend $20-$40 to get one unless I have to. Anyone know if there is a different way to install mac os 8.6 or 9.

You could copy an image of the disc's onto an external drive (firewire, although the wallstreet may not have firewire) and boot off of it. I use my ipod as a bootable drive incase my OS gets corrupted, that way i can still boot into OS X and backup any files i need before a restore.
