i have forgotten the root password on my linux machine. What can i do? |

I don't think there is much that we can do to help you with that problem, except to suggest that you format the hard drive and do a complete reinstall.
one of the great features of linux is the security of its root passwords, if you forget it, your done. and this is just my personal opinion. |

Sorry we do not allow questions of trying to bypass system security. Chalk this up to experience, and make sure you don't remember the root password anymore.
