Switching back to XP
Ok, so I recently had to install Linux(I don't really know much about how to operate it fully) because I didn't have a copy of XP at hand. I know have a copy of XP and was hoping to reinstall it. But, I can't seem to get it to start the installation. Can anyone help me out on this?

Are you set up to boot from the CD? I had put XP over Linux many times, and never had trouble just installing right over it.

I was planning on that, but it won't boot up the CD. When I look at the contents of the I see the setup file. But when I try to open it, it asks what I want to open it with but I'm not sure what to use.

Do you have the CDROM as one of the boot devices in the BIOS?

I'm pretty sure but I'll have to double check. Last time it was the first one in the boot order.
