downloading and burning drivers on Windows to install in Linux
Is there a problem with downloading and burning a linux .run driver in XP and then installing it in Linux?

You shouldn't have any problems... when you mount it in Linux, copy it off the CD (into /tmp or your favourite temp files area) then run it.
