Linux or Windows, PHP or ASP
I've got a question for y'all out there:
I need to decide if I want to get a Linux server or a Windows server for my new website, which includes either PHP or ASP respectively. My question is this: which one should I go for? Basically I need to figure out what the pros and cons of each are, the learning curve of PHP and ASP and what they can do for me, etc, etc. Any help at all would be appreciated... Thanks, Sebby |

I would look at it like this. Unless you have some reason to go for ASP (an app maybe), I would go with PHP. Many apps, programs and scripts that are free as well written in PHP. Much more than ASP.
