Installing Fedoea 3 on existing RAID partition

I want to install Fedora 3. I have WinXP on a seperate HD, a 200GB ata, and want to put Linux on an existing RAID partition, consisting of two 80 gig Maxor IDE HD's. When I get to the point in the Linux installation where I select or create the partition, the RAID drive does not show up. Just the ata drive shows. How can this be done? Is there a driver that needs to be installed? If so, how is that done?

Hardware is onboard RAID on a P4P800 mobo.

I'm a Linux newbie here. I've been flirting with linux on & off for a while now, but not often enough to get even mildly aquainted. So if anyone knows how to do this, please be detailed.

Thanks in advance!!
