Linux AIM instant messaging program
ok i have mandrake 10.0 it came with kopete IM program...i set it up for my AIM but it has two problems
now whenever i sign on it wont show anyone online. i click connect again and it shows whos on for like a second then all the faces (indicating whether there online or not) turn grey and they disappear again. i got it to stay on once somehow but idk, whats wrong with this? the internet works fine w/ my wireless card also its putting a link in my profile...dont want this but i dont mind too much...any way to get rid of it... i tried installing AOL's version of regular AIM for linux but i dont know how to find the program--im new to linux.

What version of Kopete are you using? I have 0.8.1 and it works ok on Suse.

i got GAIM, thanks. works really good and i like the features more than kopete, which doesnt pop up a window when i have an im (it just blinks a message next to the persons name on buddylist.)pcmech
