Question Uninstalling Mandrake 8.0

How does one go in uninstalling Mandrake Linux 8.0 from the computer without destroying Windows 98? The reason I am asking is that I stupidly install Linux where it boots up from the hard drive.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

If all u are doing is removing the bootloader, you can use fdisk /mbr from within Windows or lilo -u from within Linux.
To reclaim the partition or to delete it, use fdisk to remove the NON dos partitions with Windows or use fdisk from Linux to delete it (its a lot more complicated but it does the job right).

Amen to that. I use the Linux version of fdisk to format drives for Windows installs. It is quite a bit faster, simpler and can fix a lot of stuff that Windows has messed up.

fdisk /mbr work like a charm, thanks for the help. It save me from doing some useless backing up and restoring - potentially wiping out windows 98.
