Dell Poweredge 400SC and Suse

Hey all,
Trying to install eval versions of Suse w/ Nterprise and also OpenExchange.

The hardware is a dell poweredge 400SC 2.8GHZ 512RAM 80GB SATA 48xIDE CDROM.

During the install it freezes at the line "ide0 at 0x1f0-....... on IRQ 14"

There is only 1 SATA port and 1 IDE port. If i disable the SATA port in the BIOS the install runs smoothly. I tried re-seating all cables but still have the problem. I then tried installing Fedora and Redhat 9 and both went through the install without a problem.

I am guessing it might be the order in which Suse is identifying the drives?. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Thanks

More than likely a SUSE driver issue. What version of SUSE is being used?
