Send a message via AIM to PanchoC
Retrieving Old Mail from Unix Account

I used to have a shell account that I used for e-mail, and because of no other options being available, I used a mail program ("Pine") on the shell account to send and receive e-mail.

I also had all of my saved messages in a Save folder. The server closed and I can no longer send/receive this way, but I need to retrieve these old messages.

I downloaded them via FTP and I have a folder called "mail" that I assume has all of this, but I can't read it and it doesn't look like anything decipherable.

Is there anything that I can do to be able to read these messages? Perhaps a Windows program that will replicate the Pine e-mail program or something similar?

Thanks!

It's just text. Try opening it with Notepad or vim, if in 'Nix.
