Ubantu

I have downloaded the image for Ubantu but can't seem to load it. I am a newby trying to learn a bit about Linux. What steps do I need to take to load it to a second drive?

did you burn it as an image or as a data disc? you will need to burn it as an image. also, make sure your computer is set to boot from cd, and you should be good to go

You will have to burn the image to a cd and then load from there. Make sure your cd burner is set for copy as an iso image and not an audio or data file. Then set your computer bios to boot from CD first. Put the cd in, turn it on and you should be good to go.

Ubuntu

Thanks guys - I have successfully loaded Ubuntu on my second drive and it seems to running very successfully on the basis of my preliminary examination. I appreciate the help
