Would like to obtain red hat enterprize edition to download or
white box which I have heard is about the same to try. Dont know where and how to download as I looked at a whitebox website and seen several iso images but didnt know which to try and download and after getting downloaded what I need to be able to install. Any help appreciated. I messed around a few years ago with red hat after buying a disk and book, but never installed this way so I need some help. Thanks MQ1 |

I believe you only need the i386, (unless you are running a 64 bit system) and you only need disk 1 + 2 to get a good redhat OS. The other disk are a bunch of extras that most people don't need.

It is quite easy!
1 You Download an iso File sized about 700MB
2 Use a CD burner Application If you use Windows I would suggest DeepBurner Free Edition B 3 Burn/Write the Iso onto a recordable CD 4 Reboot, but do not forget to make the CDROM Drive the first boot device in the BIOS setup that is all. 5 Insstall 6 Enjoy!!!! Good luck with this project. |

Any particular reason why you want RedHat Enterprise edition?

There are several RHEL clones. Here's another called CentOS:
http://ftp.nluug.nl/ftp/pub/os/Linux...4.1/isos/i386/ These are exact clones of RHEL, the only difference being that the Redhat name and logos have been removed. It's all perfectly legal by the way as all this software is under the GPL. |
