Shortcut for Folding@Home in Linux?

I asked this question in one of the folding@Home threads but was refered here. Kov-Ice thought one of you linux folks might would know. I've got a question that's been nagging in my brain every since I started using linux on my other computer. I realized that it's console based . I just got to thinking and wondered if there was anyway at all to make a shortcut or something. I'm just curious is all. It's probly a dumb question but once something like this gets in my brain it's gonna bug me until I ask.

You could try this: http://www.project-tweakers.com/Q5.html

As far as I know, you basically have to add the path or what have you(synthetic link?) to the the dirctory that will command the program to be run at boot. All explained in depth at the link.

I'm not entirely sure it worked. I'm working on Mepis right now and the rc.d folder is slihtly different. rc0.d, rc1.d, rc2.d, rc3.d, rc4.d, rc5.d and rc6.d. I wonder if they mad enough of those folders. I'll mess around with it though and see if I can get it to work.

You could try the ps command to see if Folding@home is a listed process, hopefully with high %CPU usage

That is to determine if F@H is, infact, running.

A google search might yield better results, that was just the first site that caught my eye after a search. "folding@home on startup linux" or something similar was what I searched for.
